La Chanchon League's Roman Salvator played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Rodriguez in the 10th minute of play. Isaac Urko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Feliu in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Elvio Bonifaco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Isaac Urko, 1-1. After 16 played minutes, La Chanchon League's Aristides Hernandez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Isaac Urko came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Chanchon League reached it. After 20 played minutes, La Chanchon League's Rodrigo Arotza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Isaac Urko came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Chanchon League reached it. Elvio Bonifaco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cleto Feliu came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the La Chanchon League fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cleto Feliu couldn't finish the play. Isaac Urko didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 31st minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Elvio Bonifaco struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Isaac Urko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Chanchon League. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Bonifaco in the 42nd minute of play forced Punto Unido FC's goalkeeper Isaac Urko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justino Iratzeder to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elvio Bonifaco in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaac Urko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adolfo Heli's late challenge caught a Punto Unido FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Heli helped the player get up and apologised. Adolfo Heli kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Punto Unido FC's Cayetano Rodriguez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roman Salvator made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 63 minutes into the match, La Chanchon League's goalkeeper Roman Salvator had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cayetano Rodriguez. La Chanchon League's Adolfo Heli got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elvio Bonifaco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaac Urko having to make a save. Adolfo Heli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Isaac Urko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaac Urko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Bonifaco, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Roman Salvator made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Chepe in the 73rd minute. If Elvio Bonifaco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cleto Feliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Isaac Urko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Hugo Chepe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Punto Unido FC and the La Chanchon League players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Elvio Bonifaco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaac Urko was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
