Sporting Tucson's Pablo Uzuri got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agustin Kiliz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timoteo Maties having to interfere. Agustin Kiliz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Timoteo Maties made a huge save. Zacarias Pedroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ovidio Bento fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Tucson's protests and gave Ovidio Bento a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nueva Pretoria booed when Sporting Tucson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidio Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zacarias Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timoteo Maties breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the game, Sporting Tucson's Zacarias Pedroso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guillermo Ramond made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sporting Tucson walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
