The audience was convinced that Celso Remigio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvano Indartsu was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Atalaya FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independiente Boedense the free kick. After 94 played minutes, Atalaya FC's Damaso Bonadona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Silvano Indartsu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atalaya FC reached it. Eulalio Ritchie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Servando having to interfere. The Atalaya FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atalaya FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
