To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Donato Inautzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Jayvier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Walme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Leonel Herena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. TigreFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Walme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Herena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Tello's zone, Luisito Pes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Herena came out of the goal and Luisito Pes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gregorio Orain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ariel Iratze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Arias in the 43rd minute of play forced Tello's goalkeeper Leonel Herena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Reynaldo Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leo Walme in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonel Herena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. TigreFC's Leo Walme got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leo Walme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Herena having to interfere. TigreFC's Godfredo Jayvier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save TigreFC from getting a goal against them. Ariel Iratze's late challenge caught a TigreFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ariel Iratze helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes Tello got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Iratze. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonel Herena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Prospero Tirso struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Leonel Herena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TigreFC. Leo Walme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
