Angel Quin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiburcio Mancio's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Zacarias Baleren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Tiberiu Moțoc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Darien's late challenge caught a Gaboto FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Gaboto FC's Silvio Avellaneda ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tiberiu Moțoc. Tiberiu Moțoc yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. If Lisandro Rocendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute.
