Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) BOCA JUNIORS's Eusebio Gaztea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Isaac Nafarroa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gaudencio Eskuin came out and tried to block the shot, but Isaac Nafarroa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. Gaudencio Eskuin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Petri, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Severino Savion was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BOCA JUNIORS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arauco FC the free kick. Severino Savion kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes, Arauco FC's Sebastian Matteo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gaudencio Eskuin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arauco FC reached it. In the 14th match minute, BOCA JUNIORS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Felipo to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Severino Savion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eusebio Gaztea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Gaudencio Eskuin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Bide. Gabriel Ritchie's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gaudencio Eskuin firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in BOCA JUNIORS's zone, Gabriel Ritchie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Eskuin came out of the goal and Gabriel Ritchie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Sebastian Matteo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arauco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Matteo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Eskuin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 36 played minutes BOCA JUNIORS got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Mikelar. 41 minutes into the match, Arauco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Gaztea came free, but Mauro Domenec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Ritchie got free with Gaudencio Eskuin in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. BOCA JUNIORS's Severino Savion got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Paulino Petri made the kick off in the second half. Epifanio Ofelio charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Epifanio Ofelio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eusebio Gaztea succeeded in the game's 58th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Dante Felipo kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Mauro Domenec stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebio Gaztea's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Dante Felipo's late challenge caught a Arauco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Felipo helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Ritchie in the 78th minute of play forced BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Gaudencio Eskuin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Felipo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severino Savion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Mauro Domenec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of BOCA JUNIORS booed when Arauco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Nafarroa didn't get a good kick on the ball.
