The supporters of la maquina booed when Rancagua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Javiero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Placido Rainerio made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Gartxot. Rancagua FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Raul Jaizki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Cebo having to interfere. Uriel Cebo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Goren in the 37th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Placido Rainerio was the one to do the kick off. Adrian Berriotxoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Angelo Gartxot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The corner led la maquina's Santos Batista to fire away a dangerous shot which Angelo Gartxot despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Placido Rainerio in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Gartxot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valentin Hug took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angelo Gartxot. Rancagua FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Placido Rainerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Angelo Gartxot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, la maquina's Placido Rainerio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelo Gartxot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Timoteo Javiero kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Placido Rainerio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelo Gartxot was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. If Adrian Berriotxoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
