Godfredo Vigil started the match with the kick off. Godfredo Vigil received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ricardo Etor came out and tried to block the shot, but Godfredo Vigil slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Cayetano Cordarin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Club Atlético Alumni's Ricardo Etor got control of the ball when Valentin Lenci tried to sneak it across the goal line. Godfredo Vigil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Etor having to interfere. When Valentin Lenci came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Gunners F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Lenci couldn't finish the play. Jaime Ubarna charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Ubarna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Alumni's goalkeeper Ricardo Etor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th play minute Valentin Lenci came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ricardo Etor. 2-0. When Club Atlético Alumni's Anibal Dolfos in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gunners F.C's goalie prevented a goal. If Valentin Lenci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Etor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Godfredo Vigil in the 33rd minute. In the 33rd minute, Valentin Lenci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Etor made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Valentin Lenci sent off a good shot on target. When Godfredo Vigil fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunners F.C's protests and gave Godfredo Vigil a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gunners F.C getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Godfredo Vigil hit a great ball. After having played for 48 minutes, Anibal Dolfos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Alumni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anibal Dolfos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anibal Dolfos was the one to do the kick off. Valentin Lenci hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. With his leg Germano Fontano managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Club Atlético Alumni's Anibal Dolfos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Godfredo Vigil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Etor was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anibal Dolfos in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Germano Fontano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valentin Lenci might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Etor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valentin Lenci ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricardo Etor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Vigil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anibal Dolfos kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Anibal Dolfos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Gunners F.C's Valentin Lenci in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Alumni's goalie prevented a goal. Albano Carlomagno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Anibal Dolfos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Alumni's supporters rose to their feet, but Anibal Dolfos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Germano Fontano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Alumni's Albano Carlomagno got a free kick in the 91st minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Gunners F.C were victorious despite being under pressure from Club Atlético Alumni for much of the match.
