Spectators: 6666 (Terracing: 5002, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Segundo Lluterio started the match with the kick off. Domingos Benat, 3 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 13th match minute, Club Atletico Tucuman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Txartiko to maneuver through the defense. Segundo Lluterio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiburcio Presebal having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Tucuman's Aquiles Salvino got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Tiburcio Presebal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Lluterio in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Roque Matro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 minutes, Luisito Karmel made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Estudiantes de Zarate's Tiburcio Presebal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 36 minutes of play, Club Atletico Tucuman's Segundo Lluterio made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiburcio Presebal was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th match minute, Club Atletico Tucuman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Mendiko to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Tucuman's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Galindo came free, but Camilo Jon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiburcio Presebal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisito Karmel in the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Tucuman's Luisito Karmel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiburcio Presebal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club Atletico Tucuman's Camilo Jon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Galindo in the 49th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fausto Galindo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Edelmiro Llorienzo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Jon. Club Atletico Tucuman's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edelmiro Llorienzo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. With a little luck, Estudiantes de Zarate's Tiburcio Presebal got control of the ball when Aquiles Salvino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Camilo Jon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Galindo in the 65th minute of the match. Estudiantes de Zarate's Fausto Galindo got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edelmiro Llorienzo took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Camilo Jon. Camilo Jon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. When Edelmiro Llorienzo got free in front of the goal in the 77th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Camilo Jon was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Tiburcio Presebal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Lluterio in the 80th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Luisito Karmel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Club Atletico Tucuman's Aquiles Salvino got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Estudiantes de Zarate's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
