In the 2nd minute, Vinicio Oxel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Amadeo Hunfredo. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 13th minute Rigoberto Ortzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Ekain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Maltide's zone, Rigoberto Ortzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nunez Ekain came out of the goal and Rigoberto Ortzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maltide's Nunez Ekain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Ortzi in the 25th minute of play. Rigoberto Ortzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Nunez Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Maltide's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Ortzi came free, but Nunez Ekain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rigoberto Ortzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nunez Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amadeo Hunfredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Oxel in the 33rd minute of the match. Vinicio Oxel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Amadeo Hunfredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Umbruso in the 39th minute of play forced Chaguaral AFC's goalkeeper Amadeo Hunfredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dalmacio Umbruso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionisio Ostots sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
If Dalmacio Umbruso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes Maltide got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Lope. If Dionisio Ostots had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Modesto Honesto kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Dalmacio Umbruso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Hunfredo having to interfere. Amadeo Hunfredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Oxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Chaguaral AFC defense, Dalmacio Umbruso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo Hunfredo. The Chaguaral AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Hunfredo should have stopped the shot. Nunez Ekain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Ortzi in the 78th minute of play. Chaguaral AFC's Dionisio Ostots got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Vinicio Oxel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rigoberto Ortzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Nunez Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Maltide's Dalmacio Umbruso in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chaguaral AFC's goalie prevented a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chaguaral AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Maltide.
