Arnout Van Eycke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Washington Lalu in the 11th minute of the match. If Washington Lalu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Gondra AFC's Lino Orland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cleto Mazuste narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Washington Lalu put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Van Eycke. Quintino Bezerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Van Eycke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quintino Bezerra ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the game, Washington Lalu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Arnout Van Eycke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 38 minutes into the game, PORVENTOR's Guido Gorka nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Van Eycke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 40th minute, Quintino Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnout Van Eycke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Lalu in the 44th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Orland was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Lino Orland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 53 in the game by Washington Lalu from a close distance when the talented Arnout Van Eycke managed to make a qualified save. Gondra AFC's players were relieved. Bartolo Madaleno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Arnout Van Eycke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moisés Urzúa hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Quintino Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnout Van Eycke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Washington Lalu in the 64th minute. Arnout Van Eycke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintino Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to PORVENTOR getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Agustin Guillen hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Washington Lalu in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Van Eycke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gondra AFC's Arnout Van Eycke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Lalu in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th match minute, PORVENTOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Gorka to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Arnout Van Eycke throw himself and got hold of the ball when Washington Lalu in the 87thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. PORVENTOR's Varfolomey Syroezhkin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Van Eycke in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Arnout Van Eycke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quintino Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Washington Lalu had several of the Gondra AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 94 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Arnout Van Eycke as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match was over PORVENTOR could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gondra AFC throughout the match.
