Anselmo Oriol took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Haroldo Bemabe. Haroldo Bemabe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Erubiel Buinton charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erubiel Buinton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to HUMO FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Erubiel Buinton hit a great ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Artemio Unax managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HUMO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artemio Unax was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute Guillermo Rius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Mosen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Federico Lidon took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Haroldo Bemabe to make any attempt to save it. When Caroya's Federico Lidon in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye HUMO FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 41st minute, Anselmo Oriol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Federico Lidon to strike the kick off in the second half. Haroldo Bemabe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Lidon in the 53rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Federico Lidon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haroldo Bemabe was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. When Horacio Gentza fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caroya's protests and gave Horacio Gentza a yellow card for diving instead. Caroya's Gilberto Mosen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Caroya from getting a goal against them. Caroya's Federico Lidon got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Federico Lidon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Haroldo Bemabe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Unax in the 84th minute of play forced Caroya's goalkeeper Gilberto Mosen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Artemio Unax managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HUMO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artemio Unax was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anselmo Oriol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Caroya had played much better football throughout.
