Emiliano Mikeldi charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emiliano Mikeldi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rosario Central booed when Naranja Mecanica F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. One of Rosario Central:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Naranja Mecanica F.C.:s goal. Siro Donzel went to the wrong direction when Norberto Bertol was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Jimeno Ubarna hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Isidro Cesaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Siro Donzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rosario Central's zone, Delmiro Basualdo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Siro Donzel came out of the goal and Delmiro Basualdo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Delmiro Basualdo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Siro Donzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmiro Basualdo got free with Siro Donzel in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jimeno Ubarna kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match.

In the 55th minute Isidro Cesaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siro Donzel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delmiro Basualdo took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Siro Donzel. Siro Donzel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Rosario Central's Marcelino Lamberto got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Naranja Mecanica F.C.'s goalkeeper Leon Sugar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Rosario Central's Ariel Macerio in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Siro Donzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidro Cesaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
