If Miguel Rik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primitivo Ekain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigiusz Banan having to interfere. Wilfredo Erasto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Filomeno Argenis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wilfredo Erasto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfredo Erasto in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filomeno Argenis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilfredo Erasto scored 0-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filomeno Argenis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Remigiusz Banan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Rik, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Italó FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Erasto came free, but Filomeno Argenis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Argenis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Egoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Italó FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Primitivo Panpili was slow to take the kick. During this time Glorioso Vélez Sársfield's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Glorioso Vélez Sársfield's corner Primitivo Panpili fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Filomeno Argenis quite easily take care of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Miguel Rik made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Anibal Jakobe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, Teobaldo Egoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filomeno Argenis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 56th minute Miguel Rik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigiusz Banan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Teobaldo Egoi came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Glorioso Vélez Sársfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobaldo Egoi couldn't finish the play. Miguel Rik kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Remigiusz Banan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Wilfredo Erasto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Filomeno Argenis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Italó FC defense, Wilfredo Erasto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filomeno Argenis. The Italó FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filomeno Argenis should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Wilfredo Erasto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glorioso Vélez Sársfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfredo Erasto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Argenis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Italó FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Erasto came free, but Filomeno Argenis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glorioso Vélez Sársfield's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Primitivo Panpili in the 85th minute. A nice corner shot did that Primitivo Panpili got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Filomeno Argenis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wilfredo Erasto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the game, Ariel Gaspard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Italó FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glorioso Vélez Sársfield the free kick. Glorioso Vélez Sársfield played a much better game than Italó FC and deserved their victory. The Italó FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
