But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Duardo couldn't finish the play. Silvio Haimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jonathan Sayvion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Jimeno Osmundo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Defensores del Tano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argentinos Jrs the free kick. In the 28th minute, Jimeno Osmundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Argentinos Jrs's Jonathan Sayvion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Haimar in the 34th minute of play. If Joel Odol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Benigno Kimetz made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Sayvion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvio Haimar went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Ruben Furman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Chaime in the 55th minute of the match. Jonathan Sayvion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Duardo in the 58th minute of play. After having played for 64 minutes, Silvio Haimar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Defensores del Tano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Haimar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Silvio Haimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Joel Odol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Sayvion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 73 minutes, Joel Odol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Defensores del Tano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Odol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute Casimiro Estebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Sayvion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvio Haimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Sayvion having to interfere. Ruben Furman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Benat in the 80th minute. Defensores del Tano's Ruben Furman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Defensores del Tano from getting a goal against them. When Silvio Haimar came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Defensores del Tano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvio Haimar couldn't finish the play. Eustacio Abechuco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Sayvion. Argentinos Jrs's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Defensores del Tano's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
