Danilo Amato's late challenge caught a AcuñA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Amato helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Columbus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Amato to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute of the match Teodoro Rosalio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baldomero Benvido skillfully saved the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sixto Etxekopar made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Columbus's zone, Aquiles Lartaun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Benvido came out of the goal and Aquiles Lartaun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Antonio Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Columbus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Danilo Amato scored 1-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lázaro Udalaitz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sixto Etxekopar in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baldomero Benvido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AcuñA's Lázaro Udalaitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save AcuñA from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, AcuñA's Fulgencio Dantae got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 78 played minutes Columbus got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Amato. 79 minutes into the match, Columbus's goal looked a bit too open when Sixto Etxekopar came free, but Baldomero Benvido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Danilo Amato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Udalaitz having to interfere. Celedonio Romero's late challenge caught a AcuñA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Abreu got free with Lázaro Udalaitz in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Columbus's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
