Basail's Hugo Ortle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Sandalio in the 22nd minute of play. Hugo Ortle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Sandalio's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. A collision led to Basail getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Alonzo Tab hit a great ball. Hugo Ortle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Sandalio in the 30th minute of the match. When Albano Gorka, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 31 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ramiro Iraitz was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Soto FC's zone, Albano Gorka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Iraitz came out of the goal and Albano Gorka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Patricio Huly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jonathan Sandalio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Patricio Huly cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hugo Ortle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albano Gorka to make the kick off. Ramiro Iraitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Gorka, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute.
