The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristobal Nafarroa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dante Azevedo in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Clemente Franco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Nafarroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristobal Nafarroa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 22 minutes, Clemente Franco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lunlunta AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Franco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Dante Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Lunlunta AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Azevedo couldn't finish the play. If Dante Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute Claudio Dabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Lordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Faro's Claudio Dabi in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lunlunta AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th minute, Claudio Dabi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Gaspar Romildo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lunlunta AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Faro the free kick. After 40 played minutes Lunlunta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Romildo. Faro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Claudio Teofilio in the 43rd minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The supporters of Lunlunta AFC booed when Faro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Eguerdi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Claudio Dabi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Justino Lordi. Lunlunta AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudio Dabi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lunlunta AFC's goalkeeper Justino Lordi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Clemente Franco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristobal Nafarroa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Benicio Perutxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Lordi having to interfere. In the 67th minute Benicio Perutxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Lordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Franco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Cristobal Nafarroa made a huge save. Faro's Cristobal Nafarroa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Romildo in the 70th minute of play. Dante Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Claudio Dabi made a precise shot to the right of Justino Lordi. Lunlunta AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Dante Azevedo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Benicio Perutxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Justino Lordi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lunlunta AFC's Justino Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Perutxo in the 90th minute of play. If Clemente Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Lunlunta AFC's Dante Azevedo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristobal Nafarroa. That made the score 2-2 after 93 minutes of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
