Spectators: 7114 (Terracing: 5445, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Christian Vieri took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Christian Vieri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quemapasto FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Vieri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iker Matei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Quemapasto FC's Edinho Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Ursino in the 16th minute of play. Iker Matei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Vieri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edinho Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irinel Butuc, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Christian Vieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Quemapasto FC's Flavio Erramun slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iker Matei. That made the score 2-0 after 36 minutes of play. Edinho Dantas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiburcio Franco's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. With an all-out effort, Quemapasto FC's Iker Matei threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Christian Vieri, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 46 minutes into the match, Tiburcio Franco notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Quemapasto FC's Edinho Dantas. Edinho Dantas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Irinel Butuc to make the kick off. Iker Matei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Vieri in the 53rd minute of the match. After 54 minutes, Oduwaiye Yaguda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Nicolás de los Arroyo and the Quemapasto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, San Nicolás de los Arroyo's Oduwaiye Yaguda got a free kick in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alketas Anagnostopoulos during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alketas Anagnostopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. San Nicolás de los Arroyo's Iker Matei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derviš Hadžić in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute Christian Vieri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Matei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, San Nicolás de los Arroyo's goal looked a bit too open when Derviš Hadžić came free, but Iker Matei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiburcio Franco in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edinho Dantas saved Quemapasto FC from getting behind. Flavio Erramun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Matei having to interfere. Edinho Dantas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Irinel Butuc showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 75 minute of play. In the 78th minute of the match Oduwaiye Yaguda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edinho Dantas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to San Nicolás de los Arroyo getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Alketas Anagnostopoulos hit a great ball. In the 81st minute Flavio Erramun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Matei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 played minutes San Nicolás de los Arroyo got a freekick which was hit by Oduwaiye Yaguda. Derviš Hadžić missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 83 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Iker Matei right hand side. San Nicolás de los Arroyo's Iker Matei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Erramun in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Quemapasto FC's Christian Vieri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iker Matei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. San Nicolás de los Arroyo succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Quemapasto FC had controlled the match.
