Spectators: 6668 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cecilio Patxi took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Lucio Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Francis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Patxi in the 11th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Saladillo FC's zone, Gaspar Aballe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Francis came out of the goal and Gaspar Aballe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucio Duarte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victorio Lamberto having to make a save. Melquiades Madeo hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Victorio Lamberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Duarte in the 18th minute of play. Victorio Lamberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Asteri in the 19th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Necochea AFC's Augusto Francis threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cecilio Patxi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo Asteri in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorio Lamberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Saladillo FC's Ricardo Asteri in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Necochea AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Lucio Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Victorio Lamberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cecilio Patxi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

Victorio Lamberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Cecilio Patxi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Augusto Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Saladillo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! Honorio Lohitzun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augusto Francis. Saladillo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Gaspar Aballe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Patxi in the 79th minute of play forced Saladillo FC's goalkeeper Augusto Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Asteris short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Victorio Lamberto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Victorio Lamberto managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Saladillo FC's Ricardo Asteri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 87 minutes into the game, Astor Bernaldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Necochea AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saladillo FC the free kick. Lucio Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorio Lamberto having to interfere. Ricardo Asteri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Victorio Lamberto made a huge save. Gaspar Aballe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Augusto Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Necochea AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Saladillo FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
