In the 12th minute, Juan Baristo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético Ángeles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Geronimo Paulin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Ourente in the 15th minute of the match. Juan Baristo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Maureo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Ourente in the 20th minute of play forced Club Atlético Ángeles's goalkeeper Geronimo Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute Saul Garoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Maureo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Ángeles's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Ourente came free, but Geronimo Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geronimo Paulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filomeno Ourente, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Club Recreativo San Jorge were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Club Atlético Ángeles's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Recreativo San Jorge's goalkeeper Marcos Maureo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcos Maureo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Baristo in the 40th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Baristo to make the kick off. When Jacinto Sotero fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Recreativo San Jorge's protests and gave Jacinto Sotero a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Club Recreativo San Jorge got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Sotero. Geronimo Paulin stood somewhat misplaced when Esteve Rodriguez came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 65 minute. Filomeno Ourente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Geronimo Paulin made a huge save. With a little luck, Club Atlético Ángeles's Geronimo Paulin got control of the ball when Filomeno Ourente tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Igor Rexino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84thth minute of the game Juan Baristo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Recreativo San Jorge's Marcos Maureo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Igor Rexino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Club Recreativo San Jorge's zone, Juan Baristo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Maureo came out of the goal and Juan Baristo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 99th minute, Juan Baristo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Maureo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Club Atlético Ángeles players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
