With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermengildo Elequemedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Benedicto Reynardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Iguazú! An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Lizardi in the 25th minute of play forced Iguazú's goalkeeper Israel Claus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Oscar Jerardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patricio Lizardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Israel Claus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Iguazú's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Lizardi came free, but Israel Claus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th match minute, Iguazú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltasar Chuan to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute of the match, Benedicto Reynardo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Israel Claus was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ben-Hur de Rafaela's Hermengildo Elequemedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Jakes in the 41st minute of play. Hermengildo Elequemedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Vistruario in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Lizardi to make the kick off. Patricio Lizardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Israel Claus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gogo Euloxu during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 played minutes Iguazú got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Euloxu. In the 68th minute, Patricio Lizardi made a precise shot to the right of Israel Claus. Iguazú's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Rene Vistruario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Elequemedo having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Cosme Jakes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 91 played minutes Ben-Hur de Rafaela got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Argina. In the 92nd minute of the match Erasmo Egoi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hermengildo Elequemedo skillfully saved the ball.
