The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 17th minute, Bartolo Jerold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaias Peru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Izotz in the 20th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Asthenia got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Gelmiro. Isidro Gelmiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Asthenia's Simon Confesor managed to work through Reconquista F.C's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Simon Confesor dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 31 minutes into the match, Reconquista F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Gelmiro came free, but Humberto Gaskon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimeno Gonsalvo charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jimeno Gonsalvo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 34 minutes, Simon Confesor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Asthenia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Confesor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Humberto Gaskon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Gelmiro in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th match minute, Reconquista F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimeno Gonsalvo to maneuver through the defense. Simon Confesor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Humberto Gaskon made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Atilano Bela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reconquista F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Atilano Bela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaias Peru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isidro Gelmiro to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Confesor in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Gaskon saved Reconquista F.C from getting behind. In the 55th match minute, Reconquista F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Joanes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Asthenia's Isidro Gelmiro got a free kick in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Gelmiro in the 58th minute of play forced Reconquista F.C's goalkeeper Humberto Gaskon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Asthenia's zone, Atilano Bela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaias Peru came out of the goal and Atilano Bela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th match minute, Asthenia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Americo Perutxo to maneuver through the defense. Ruben Nazario hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidro Gelmiro in the 73rd minute of play forced Reconquista F.C's goalkeeper Humberto Gaskon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Gaskon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidro Gelmiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvestre Breogan kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. If Atilano Bela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reconquista F.C's Humberto Gaskon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Gelmiro in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Atilano Bela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reconquista F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atilano Bela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isidro Gelmiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Humberto Gaskon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
