Hernan Lucado took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Bitxintxo. Dante Bitxintxo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dante Bitxintxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Lucado in the 31st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Ben Hur's Diego Marinho threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hermengildo Orti, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Marciano Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ben Hur's goalkeeper Dante Bitxintxo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luisito Crispo scored 1-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diego Marinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Ben Hur's Ricardo Idacio got a free kick in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Marciano Berbiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merlina FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marciano Berbiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Bitxintxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 76 minutes into the match, Merlina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Crispo came free, but Diego Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Hermengildo Orti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Hernan Lucado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merlina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernan Lucado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
