David Arias started the match with the kick off. After 7 minutes, Roman Sidro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grasshopper FC and the Canque AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roman Sidro hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Alejandro Bernat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jaroslaw Kaider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorato Eduino scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaroslaw Kaider, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Alejandro Bernat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canque AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Bernat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaroslaw Kaider breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Grasshopper FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Federico Precioso hit a great ball. Honorato Eduino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vinicio Darien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Arias, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Canque AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when David Arias scored to the left of an out of position Vinicio Darien, making the score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Arias in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinicio Darien prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes in the game, David Arias fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vinicio Darien having to interfere. David Arias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Adrian Haimar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vinicio Darien. Canque AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrian Haimar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After 47 minutes of play, Grasshopper FC's Adrian Haimar made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vinicio Darien was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The wind increased when Honorato Eduino made the kick off in the second half. When Alejandro Bernat came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Canque AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejandro Bernat couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Grasshopper FC's Federico Precioso got a free kick in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorato Eduino in the 59th minute of play forced Grasshopper FC's goalkeeper Jaroslaw Kaider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Edelmiro Soter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabriel Ordono charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Canque AFC booed when Grasshopper FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Mero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejandro Bernat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jaroslaw Kaider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grasshopper FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Canque AFC for a fine match.
