Jaroslaw Kaider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Laurgain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaroslaw Kaider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Alfonso in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Hermengildo Laurgain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jaroslaw Kaider was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 26th match minute, Grasshopper FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Garaona to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute of the match Arnoldo Inautzi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaroslaw Kaider showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Alfonso in the 29th minute of play forced Grasshopper FC's goalkeeper Jaroslaw Kaider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaroslaw Kaider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Laurgain in the 30th minute of the match. Adrian Haimar took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Berriotxoa. Gabriel Berriotxoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jaroslaw Kaider showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Alfonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Jaroslaw Kaider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Laurgain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hipolito Alfonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Arias to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hipolito Alfonso got free with Jaroslaw Kaider in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grasshopper FC's goalkeeper Jaroslaw Kaider, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rancul's Hermengildo Laurgain pulled a muscle in his back after 57 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 57 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Soter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grasshopper FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rancul the free kick. When the match had been going on for 59 minutes, Rancul's Arnoldo Inautzi got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jaroslaw Kaider. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hipolito Alfonso got free with Jaroslaw Kaider in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Rancul booed when Grasshopper FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Sidro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Saverio Miliano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaroslaw Kaider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Alfonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rancul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Alfonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 87 played minutes, Grasshopper FC's Federico Precioso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gabriel Berriotxoa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grasshopper FC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hipolito Alfonso got free with Jaroslaw Kaider in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Grasshopper FC's zone, Casimiro Raymundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaroslaw Kaider came out of the goal and Casimiro Raymundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grasshopper FC's Adrian Haimar got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hipolito Alfonso came free with the goalkeeper in the 98th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jaroslaw Kaider could save by the left post. The Rancul supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rancul would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
