When Saturnino Jatsu came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Unión fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnino Jatsu couldn't finish the play. Desiderio Oliverio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Matteo in the 16th minute of the match. Saturnino Jatsu might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Desiderio Oliverio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saturnino Jatsu ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saturnino Jatsu in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Desiderio Oliverio saved Luzuriaga from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Saturnino Jatsu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Desiderio Oliverio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erasmo Matteo went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 32 played minutes Unión got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Eztebe. Moises Goyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Perez having to interfere. Nereo Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Goyo in the 39th minute of the match. When Ovidio Vito was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 46 minutes had been played. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Erasmo Matteo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Desiderio Oliverio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Saturnino Jatsu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Desiderio Oliverio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Erasmo Matteo, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 59 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Desiderio Oliverio was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With his leg Desiderio Oliverio managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Unión's Saturnino Jatsu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo Matteo in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Desiderio Oliverio saved Luzuriaga from getting behind. Saturnino Jatsu struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Desiderio Oliverio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Unión. Luzuriaga's Desiderio Oliverio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Luzuriaga from getting a goal against them. 92 minutes into the game, Fidel Peruxu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Desiderio Oliverio. Fidel Peruxu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The Luzuriaga fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Unión were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
