The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 9 played minutes Euphie got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Gumaro. In the 9th minute of the match Alfonso Gonzales shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomás Cuarto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carlos Vimaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Cedro in the 15th minute of play. Froilan Cedro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Euphie's goalkeeper Tomás Cuarto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 34 played minutes Avantgarde got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Feliz. After 36 minutes of play, Avantgarde's Rene Nafarroa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomás Cuarto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 44 minutes, Honorato Indartsu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Euphie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorato Indartsu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rene Nafarroa to make the kick off. Rene Nafarroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Cuarto having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, Euphie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Gumaro to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Tomás Cuarto managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Avantgarde's Desiderio Weterio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Socorro in the 64th minute of play forced Avantgarde's goalkeeper Carlos Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Avantgarde defense, Froilan Cedro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Vimaro. The Avantgarde fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Vimaro should have stopped the shot. Danilo Feliz got his second yellow card in the match during the 78th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Danilo Feliz hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Cedro in the 84th minute of play forced Avantgarde's goalkeeper Carlos Vimaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Elvio Lleir fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Euphie's protests and gave Elvio Lleir a yellow card for diving instead. Elvio Lleir kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Tomás Cuarto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Desiderio Weterio in the 94th minute. In the 95th match minute, Euphie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Indartsu to maneuver through the defense. The Avantgarde players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Euphie from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
