In the 7th minute Segundo Maju shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Galoer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Torress short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Clodoveo Galoer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 16 minutes into the match, Cha's Santo Torres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clodoveo Galoer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Segundo Maju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Torres might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clodoveo Galoer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santo Torres ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelino Llorienzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Lizardi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Vinicio Sanchez charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vinicio Sanchez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st minute, Vinicio Sanchez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cha's Leo Caitano shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 26th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Clodoveo Galoer but with some difficulty. Manuel Eliazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Llorienzo having to interfere. Chelco AFC's Clodoveo Galoer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Maju in the 32nd minute of play. Mauricio Lizardi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Llorienzo having to interfere. If Manuel Eliazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Eliazar in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelino Llorienzo saved Cha from getting behind. 41 minutes into the match, Manuel Eliazar notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cha's Marcelino Llorienzo. Marcelino Llorienzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Cha booed when Chelco AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Ikatz didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mauricio Lizardi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Segundo Maju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Santo Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 63 minutes, Mauricio Lizardi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelco AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Lizardi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cha's Vinicio Sanchez got a free kick in the 64th minute. Marcelino Llorienzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Lizardi in the 66th minute of the match. With a little luck, Cha's Marcelino Llorienzo got control of the ball when Manuel Eliazar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marciano Azibar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelino Llorienzo. Cha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Segundo Maju recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Segundo Maju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clodoveo Galoer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Maju, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baldomero Ikatz charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomero Ikatz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 82 played minutes Chelco AFC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Ikatz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Lizardi in the 90th minute of play forced Cha's goalkeeper Marcelino Llorienzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Eliazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 minutes, Nunez Calixto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cha and the Chelco AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cha's Nunez Calixto got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Manuel Eliazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chelco AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
