Saturnino Dalmai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Aires United FC's Eliseo Munio got a free kick in the 31st minute. Eliseo Munio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Dalmai having to interfere. Leonel Sotero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Fix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Viamonte FC's goalkeeper Saturnino Dalmai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Aquilino Uzuri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aires United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquilino Uzuri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saturnino Dalmai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Viamonte FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Raimundo Roano hit a great ball. If Aquilino Uzuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Viamonte FC's zone, Aquilino Uzuri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saturnino Dalmai came out of the goal and Aquilino Uzuri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pascual Fix stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leonel Sotero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Aires United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pascual Fix came free, but Leonel Sotero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viamonte FC's Saturnino Dalmai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Viamonte FC from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute, Eliseo Munio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
