Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gogo Medardo kicked off to start the match. Basilio Jerano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Bento in the 4th minute of the match. Geronimo Lertxun scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basilio Jerano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 16th minute, Paulino Bento made a precise shot to the right of Basilio Jerano. Merayo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Gas Negro FC's Gogo Medardo got a free kick in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Generoso Gartzea in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basilio Jerano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute, Gas Negro FC's Raul Orlandus seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Raul Orlandus the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gas Negro FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Raul Orlandus had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a defensive mix-up in Gas Negro FC's zone, Diego Ascencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Miliano came out of the goal and Diego Ascencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Generoso Gartzea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gogo Medardo took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basilio Jerano. Basilio Jerano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Generoso Gartzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Jerano having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Gogo Medardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basilio Jerano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Medardo in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gervasio Burutzagi to make the kick off. Aristides Cesario hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Basilio Jerano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gogo Medardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 65 played minutes Gas Negro FC got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Medardo. After 67 minutes of play, Merayo's Gervasio Burutzagi made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Miliano was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Generoso Gartzea came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Gas Negro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Generoso Gartzea couldn't finish the play. Generoso Gartzea ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Gas Negro FC booed when Merayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Ascencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Gas Negro FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Natalio Farias hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Merayo's zone, Paulino Bento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Jerano came out of the goal and Paulino Bento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Merayo's Basilio Jerano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Merayo from getting a goal against them. Gas Negro FC played a much better game than Merayo and deserved their victory. The Merayo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
