After a defensive mix-up in Escalares AC's zone, Julio Lauren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Salbatore came out of the goal and Julio Lauren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ladislao Aznar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Salbatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Lauren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Julio Lauren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jaime Salbatore. Escalares AC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julio Lauren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 12 played minutes EXCURSIO got a freekick which was hit by Igor Serapio. Placido Cortez struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Rogelio Dorio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Escalares AC. Silvestre Montes's late challenge caught a Escalares AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Placido Cortez couldn't finish the play. Pastor Chorache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Placido Cortez got in the 35th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Rogelio Dorio handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When Pastor Chorache came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Escalares AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pastor Chorache couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Placido Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escalares AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Cortez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Placido Cortez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. EXCURSIO's Rogelio Dorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Pacifico in the 52nd minute of play. Jaime Salbatore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julio Lauren in the 54th minute. Godofredo Arnalt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Rogelio Dorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Corderro hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st match minute, EXCURSIO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao Aznar to maneuver through the defense. Placido Cortez took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogelio Dorio. Rogelio Dorio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 67th minute, Julio Lauren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of EXCURSIO booed when Escalares AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Chorache didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godofredo Arnalt hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Jaime Salbatore made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Julio Lauren sent off a good shot on target. The Escalares AC fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Escalares AC's Placido Cortez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Placido Cortez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rogelio Dorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, EXCURSIO's Ladislao Aznar got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the match, EXCURSIO's goal looked a bit too open when Placido Cortez came free, but Rogelio Dorio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Escalares AC's Pastor Chorache got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rogelio Dorio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Placido Cortez went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Placido Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rogelio Dorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placido Cortez in the 91st minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Escalares AC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
