Pastor Favila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Generoso Millan, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The crowd rose to their feet as Justo Dantel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pastor Favila. That made the score 1-2 in the 65 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Toribio in the 70th minute of play forced Fitarruín's goalkeeper Romulo Malvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felix Gaskon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the game, Legion FC's Valentin Toribio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romulo Malvin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Justo Dantel succeeded in the game's 98th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fitarruín eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
