The Lastenia fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Lastenia's Faustino Gilabert looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eulalio Honrio hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Octavio Guilabertus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Faustino Gilabert's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Octavio Guilabertus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Gilabert in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Lastenia's Faustino Gilabert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octavio Guilabertus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Octavio Guilabertus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Nayely, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustino Gilabert in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Guilabertus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustino Gilabert in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavio Guilabertus saved La Mentira from getting behind. Gaston Nayely sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 40th minute Gaston Nayely shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Guilabertus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustino Gilabert in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavio Guilabertus saved La Mentira from getting behind. Octavio Guilabertus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Faustino Gilabert's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Octavio Guilabertus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Gilabert in the 46th minute of the match. Gaston Nayely recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Lastenia were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Faustino Gilabert kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot La Mentira's keeper Octavio Guilabertus was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The supporters of La Mentira booed when Lastenia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Gartzea didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Cristian Carlomagno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adan Haritz. Lastenia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Carlomagno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Gaston Nayely's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavio Guilabertus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Octavio Guilabertus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Nayely in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, La Mentira's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Nayely came free, but Octavio Guilabertus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Ebardo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in La Mentira fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! Octavio Guilabertus had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Erubiel Louis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Octavio Guilabertus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Nayely in the 80th minute of the match. Faustino Gilabert struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Octavio Guilabertus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lastenia. In the 89th minute, Lastenia's Faustino Gilabert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Octavio Guilabertus. Octavio Guilabertus yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Faustino Gilabert received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Octavio Guilabertus came out and tried to block the shot, but Faustino Gilabert slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 94th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustino Gilabert in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Guilabertus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lastenia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
