The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximo Nataniel during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atletico Chimichurri! Atletico Chimichurri's Dante Kinsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Ferrer in the 32nd minute of play. In the 42nd minute Aurelio Kelemen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Abeitia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Roberto Vermudo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Atletico Chimichurri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Vermudo couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Dante Kinsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Ferrer in the 62nd minute of the match. Dante Kinsen came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Espora's Guillermo Koldo. But to his dismay, Guillermo Koldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 96th minute of the match Hugo Derwin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Kinsen skillfully saved the ball. Atletico Chimichurri's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
