Spectators: 7318 (Terracing: 5490, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leandro Gelacio took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gregorio Machado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Gervasio Furtado made a huge save. 6 minutes into the match, Instituto de Cordoba's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Seguinus came free, but Almir Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Almir Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Berbiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Instituto de Cordoba's Arturo Suarez got a free kick in the 10th minute. Almir Pernambucano came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Cuervos Rio 4's Leandro Gelacio. But to his dismay, Leandro Gelacio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 16 played minutes Cuervos Rio 4 got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Berbiz. After having played for 23 minutes, Julian Lluciano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuervos Rio 4's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Lluciano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Leon Seguinus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evelio Millrick charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evelio Millrick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cuervos Rio 4 booed when Instituto de Cordoba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Millrick didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Leon Seguinus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Derwin kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Anibal Berbiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Almir Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leon Seguinus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Instituto de Cordoba's zone, Leandro Gelacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Almir Pernambucano came out of the goal and Leandro Gelacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Cuervos Rio 4 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evelio Millrick was the one to do the kick off. Julian Lluciano struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Almir Pernambucano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuervos Rio 4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amadeo Min during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cuervos Rio 4's Leon Seguinus got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Almir Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Gelacio in the 55th minute of play. Anibal Berbiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Leandro Gelacio put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Almir Pernambucano. Leandro Gelacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Almir Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leon Seguinus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anibal Berbiz got free with Almir Pernambucano in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leon Seguinus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Almir Pernambucano made a huge save. Leon Seguinus made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 80thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Almir Pernambucano would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. In the 84th minute, Leandro Gelacio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Almir Pernambucano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Leandro Gelacio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Almir Pernambucano. That made the score 0-4 in the 89 minute of play. Almir Pernambucano made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Leon Seguinus sent off a good shot on target. Cuervos Rio 4's Julian Lluciano got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Cuervos Rio 4 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Instituto de Cordoba.
