Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) El Rústico's Raul Leizarraga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Teo Bertin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Segundo Caton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Celestino Quinteros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of El Rústico booed when Club Atletico River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Etxekopar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20th play minutes Santos Etxekopar shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Segundo Caton and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico River Plate's Teofilo Aureo got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Santos Etxekopar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Segundo Caton, 2-0. Teofilo Aureo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Segundo Caton was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Santos Etxekopar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 36 minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, El Rústico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Mano to maneuver through the defense. Segundo Caton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Americo Garoa in the 45th minute. Celestino Quinteros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Caton having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Santos Etxekopar was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in El Rústico's zone, Santos Etxekopar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Segundo Caton came out of the goal and Santos Etxekopar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celestino Quinteros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Raul Leizarraga notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Club Atletico River Plate's Godofredo Giro. Godofredo Giro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, El Rústico's Niceto Policarpio got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Godofredo Giro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Leizarraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Segundo Caton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santos Etxekopar went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. If Celestino Quinteros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celestino Quinteros struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Segundo Caton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico River Plate. Segundo Caton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Etxekopar, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Santos Etxekopar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Caton having to interfere. After taking down the ball on Club Atletico River Plate's corner Americo Garoa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Segundo Caton quite easily take care of the ball. Emiliano Gonzales was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
