In the 4th minute Blas Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Segundo Caton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Blas Santos fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Regatas SN's protests and gave Blas Santos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Regatas SN getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Blas Santos hit a great ball. If Eliseo Senio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Segundo Caton throw himself and got hold of the ball when Blas Santos in the 14thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 20th minute, Inocencio Errando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Raul Leizarraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mateo Sindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Bihar, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Regatas SN's Blas Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. El Rústico's Segundo Caton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Santos in the 30th minute of play. Mario Romildo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Eliseo Senio struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Segundo Caton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Regatas SN. After a rather tough play, Regatas SN's Enzo Oihan got a free kick in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blas Santos made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Regatas SN's goalkeeper Mateo Sindo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Mateo Sindo managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when El Rústico's Domingos Bihar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Evelio Ermengol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Segundo Caton having to interfere. Segundo Caton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blas Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Eliseo Senio came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Regatas SN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Senio couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blas Santos in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Segundo Caton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Leizarraga in the 71st minute of play forced Regatas SN's goalkeeper Mateo Sindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adan Senon during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th minute, Adan Senon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingos Bihar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Sindo having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blas Santos in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Segundo Caton saved El Rústico from getting behind. Eliseo Senio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Blas Santos came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Regatas SN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blas Santos couldn't finish the play. Eliseo Senio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Rústico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
