Benito Ixidor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Virgilio Eli. Chischaquita FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Chischaquita FC's zone, Fernan Baumer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Eli came out of the goal and Fernan Baumer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute Fernan Baumer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Eli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernan Baumer got free with Virgilio Eli in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chischaquita FC's Virgilio Eli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Lobo in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Kryptonita booed when Chischaquita FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Meder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Fernan Baumer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kryptonita's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernan Baumer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Eli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Geronimo Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chischaquita FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
