Atahualpa AFC's Jonathan Abechuco got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Tu Vieja's Roman Franco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victoriano Aztore narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Abechuco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Senon having to interfere. Cornelio Mincho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Aztore having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Cornelio Mincho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victoriano Aztore was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Victoriano Aztore came out of the goal and Roman Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cornelio Mincho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dante Salomone made a kick off. After 56 played minutes Atahualpa AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Terciero. Leandro Eliazar hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Tu Vieja's Roman Franco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victoriano Aztore narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cornelio Mincho struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Victoriano Aztore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tu Vieja. After some careless play in the Atahualpa AFC defense, Cornelio Mincho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victoriano Aztore. The Atahualpa AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victoriano Aztore should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gogo Geofredo during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute, Gogo Geofredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Salomone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Atahualpa AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Abechuco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arturo Senon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
