A collision led to Marucho getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Gualterio Lonzo hit a great ball. Escalada AFC's Guaberto Ibon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Escalada AFC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Marucho's zone, Baldomero Orti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arsenio Rius came out of the goal and Baldomero Orti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Eliseo Diagur came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Escalada AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Diagur couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Eliseo Diagur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escalada AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Diagur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arsenio Rius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30thth minute of the game Dalmacio Iraitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Escalada AFC's Guaberto Ibon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marucho's Arsenio Rius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Diagur in the 35th minute of play. If Baldomero Orti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomero Orti took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arsenio Rius. Arsenio Rius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 44th minute Baldomero Orti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Rius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Escalada AFC's Guaberto Ibon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Iraitz in the 45th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Eliseo Diagur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomero Orti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 1-2 became the score in the 53rd minute when Baldomero Orti elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Marucho's zone, Eliseo Diagur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arsenio Rius came out of the goal and Eliseo Diagur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Eliseo Diagur came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Escalada AFC fans jumped to their feet. After 75 played minutes Marucho got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Napier. If Baldomero Orti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guaberto Ibon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Perpinya, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Inocencio Noe hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the match was over Escalada AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Marucho throughout the match.
