After a rather tough play, Saladillo's Albano Bonifaco got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Nicasio Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Ekialde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Independiente rey d copas's Serafino Chayo got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fabian Mercurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Manuel Ermengol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafino Chayo kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Casimiro Haimar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Ekialde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicasio Maria in the 96th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafino Chayo in the 99th minute of play forced Saladillo's goalkeeper Marco Ekialde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Independiente rey d copas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
