Albino Iruinea might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomas Macario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albino Iruinea ran back to his position shaking his head. Emilio Gartzen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Behzat Safih, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgardo Abilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Gartzen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Niva in the 22nd minute of play forced Tellier FC's goalkeeper Tomas Macario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteban Txomin's late challenge caught a Tellier FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Niva made a kick off. Botija's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
