Spectators: 7243 (Terracing: 5435, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 142) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Serafin Lazcano kicked off to start the match. Octavio Cordero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafin Lazcano went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 10th minute, Camilo Dabi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Everardo Quinto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Albano Chuse. That made the score 1-1 in the 16 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ranquile FC's Ermegildo Argoitz got a free kick in the 18th minute. Octavio Cordero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melchor Jesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Ranquile FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Montel came free, but Octavio Cordero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albano Chuse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Quinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melchor Jesco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Everardo Quinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ranquile FC's Godofredo Sazon got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Melchor Jesco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Octavio Cordero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Melchor Jesco in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Octavio Cordero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Serafin Lazcano put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Octavio Cordero. Serafin Lazcano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Everardo Quinto made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melchor Jesco got free with Octavio Cordero in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ranquile FC's Octavio Cordero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Ranquile FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Ranquile FC's Godofredo Sazon got a free kick in the 57th minute. Godofredo Sazon kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Everardo Quinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ranquile FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Quinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ovidio Corderro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Chuse having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnulfo Geleberto during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, La podrida FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnulfo Geleberto to maneuver through the defense. Albano Chuse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidio Corderro's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute Serafin Lazcano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Cordero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 played minutes Ranquile FC got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Sazon. In the 81st minute of the match Alfredo Arias sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavio Cordero skillfully saved the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Ranquile FC's goalkeeper Octavio Cordero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melchor Jesco. Serafin Lazcano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Cordero having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ranquile FC's zone, Melchor Jesco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Cordero came out of the goal and Melchor Jesco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Octavio Cordero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Lazcano in the 92nd minute of the match. When Camilo Dabi came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Ranquile FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camilo Dabi couldn't finish the play. After 97 played minutes La podrida FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Geleberto. Everardo Quinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
