Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Luis Dodorol made the kick off which started today's match. Hermengildo Estebe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Zeledon Goyo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 6th minute, Hermengildo Estebe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Luar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Elpidio Elequemedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colmena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Eriberto Cutberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Titanes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colmena the free kick. After 14 played minutes Club Atlético Titanes got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Cutberto. Florentino Salvator showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Felo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Titanes's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Dodorol came free, but Florentino Salvator reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Hermengildo Estebe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Goyo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Colmena's Luis Dodorol in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Titanes's goalie prevented a goal. In the 28th minute Luis Dodorol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Salvator saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dionisio Toli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colmena's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Hermengildo Estebe 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. 35 minutes into the match, Colmena's goalkeeper Zeledon Goyo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Estebe. A collision led to Colmena getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Amancio Lluis hit a great ball. Hermengildo Estebe missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 40 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Zeledon Goyo right hand side. The audience was convinced that Hermengildo Estebe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeledon Goyo was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Colmena's zone, Hermengildo Estebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeledon Goyo came out of the goal and Hermengildo Estebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Hermengildo Estebe made the kick off in the second half. Celestino Sotero charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celestino Sotero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gustavo Luar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Goyo having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Teodoro Felo made a precise shot to the right of Florentino Salvator. Club Atlético Titanes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Zeledon Goyo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermengildo Estebe went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. The Club Atlético Titanes fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Club Atlético Titanes's Hermengildo Estebe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 67th minute, Hermengildo Estebe had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrique Betadur during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Club Atlético Titanes made a substitution. Serafin Perpinya replaced Hermengildo Estebe. The supporters of Colmena booed when Club Atlético Titanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Fernendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Atlético Titanes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Luis Dodorol scored to the left of an out of position Florentino Salvator, making the score, 4-3. In the 74th minute, Silvio Abaunza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Amancio Favila in the 75th minute really tested Florentino Salvator's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gustavo Luar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Goyo having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Elpidio Elequemedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Florentino Salvator was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafin Perpinya in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Goyo saved Colmena from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elpidio Elequemedo got free with Florentino Salvator in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Club Atlético Titanes's Florentino Salvator proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Titanes from getting a goal against them. Victor Tab hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. A collision led to Colmena getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Elpidio Elequemedo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Titanes's zone, Elpidio Elequemedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florentino Salvator came out of the goal and Elpidio Elequemedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Colmena's Zeledon Goyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Perpinya in the 94th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Club Atlético Titanes players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
