Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Santos Paulin kicked off to start the match. Cristobal Madaleno's late challenge caught a Colmena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristobal Madaleno helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Colmena booed when Portugalete AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Madaleno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Generoso Abar, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With an all-out effort, Colmena's Oscar Frasquito threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Dodorol, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luis Dodorol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Frasquito having to interfere. Elpidio Elequemedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Oscar Frasquito made a huge save. In the 21st match minute, Portugalete AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Ignatius to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th match minute, Portugalete AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Paulin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Dodorol in the 34th minute of play forced Portugalete AFC's goalkeeper Oscar Frasquito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Portugalete AFC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Cristobal Madaleno hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Portugalete AFC's goalkeeper Oscar Frasquito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elpidio Elequemedo. After having played for 38 minutes, Luis Dodorol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colmena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Dodorol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guillermo Mikolas took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeledon Goyo. Zeledon Goyo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Colmena getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Generoso Abar hit a great ball. After the first half Portugalete AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luis Dodorol to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugalete AFC's goalkeeper Oscar Frasquito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Dodorol in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Frasquito saved Portugalete AFC from getting behind. Teodoro Felo's late challenge caught a Portugalete AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Mikolas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After recieving a nice pass, Portugalete AFC's Lorenzo Monico tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Elpidio Elequemedo succeeded in the game's 74th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After some careless play in the Portugalete AFC defense, Elpidio Elequemedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Frasquito. The Portugalete AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Frasquito should have stopped the shot. Santos Paulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Zeledon Goyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Portugalete AFC's Oscar Frasquito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Dodorol in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Dodorol in the 86th minute of play forced Portugalete AFC's goalkeeper Oscar Frasquito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Felo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Colmena got a corner. Portugalete AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Generoso Abar ran over to the corner to take the kick. Generoso Abar made a great header on Colmena's corner, it was just that Portugalete AFC's Oscar Frasquito managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Elequemedo in the 96th minute of play forced Portugalete AFC's goalkeeper Oscar Frasquito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colmena's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
