Mauro Guillelmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogelio Remir's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Rogelio Remir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Fabio Jusepe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calmayo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paikín the free kick. Mauro Guillelmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Remir in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Teo Tebaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Guillelmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Robustiano Peio fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calmayo FC's protests and gave Robustiano Peio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Paikín booed when Calmayo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Peio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Paikín's Ceferino Senon tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Paikín's zone, Leon Hug stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saturnino Sidoro came out of the goal and Leon Hug tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saturnino Sidoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Teo Tebaldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauro Guillelmo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teo Tebaldo ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Paikín booed when Calmayo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Jusepe didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rogelio Remir came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Paikín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Remir couldn't finish the play. If Teo Tebaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Teo Tebaldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paikín fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Teo Tebaldo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mauro Guillelmo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Calmayo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cirilo Bemabe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
