In the 18th match minute, Esther was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Aznar to maneuver through the defense. Severino Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cristo Demesio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Justo Cuartio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A collision led to Huracan Canis Majoris getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Anier Laurendi hit a great ball. The supporters of Huracan Canis Majoris booed when Esther was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Furman didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ubaldo Confesor in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristo Demesio saved Esther from getting behind. Cristo Demesio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Confesor, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Ubaldo Confesor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Cristo Demesio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Esther's Eliseo Furman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cosme Dorio. Cosme Dorio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaston Telmo was the one to do the kick off. Cosme Dorio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Telmo in the 51st minute of play. Ubaldo Confesor had several of the Esther's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 54 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Cristo Demesio as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cosme Dorio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Furman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Gaston Telmo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esther fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After some careless play in the Huracan Canis Majoris defense, Gaston Telmo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cosme Dorio. The Huracan Canis Majoris fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cosme Dorio should have stopped the shot. Genaro Argina kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. When Genaro Argina was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. After 74 played minutes Esther got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Argina. Anier Laurendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristo Demesio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ubaldo Confesor's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Ubaldo Confesor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huracan Canis Majoris's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubaldo Confesor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Esther's zone, Apolo Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristo Demesio came out of the goal and Apolo Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosme Dorio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Furman in the 95th minute of play.
