Wilfredo Bieito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lazzarino. In the 21st match minute, Lazzarino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Mero to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Senin scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilfredo Bieito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Saavedra's goalkeeper Wilfredo Bieito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Dayam was a little too slow when Arsenio Sanchez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 43rd minute, Arsenio Sanchez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Saavedra booed when Lazzarino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Garci didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arsenio Sanchez made a kick off. Saavedra's Arsenio Sanchez got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Saavedra's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Damian Lopes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Arsenio Sanchez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mariano Dayam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Dayam came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Saavedra's Uriel Belmiro. But to his dismay, Uriel Belmiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. A collision led to Lazzarino getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Fermin Foro hit a great ball. Uriel Belmiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Dayam having to interfere. Santiago Mero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Saavedra:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lazzarino:s goal. Saavedra:s Wilfredo Bieito showed great skill when he stopped Isidro Sidro:s penalty.
