Fernan Fonda did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Teofilo Cristofol 56 minutes into the match. Amado Bernal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucio Manuelo went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Elvio Gonzo kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Velez Sarsfield's Eloy Vermudo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for River fc. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Teofilo Cristofol, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Velez Sarsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernan Fonda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, River fc's Teofilo Cristofol got control of the ball when Fernan Fonda tried to sneak it across the goal line.
